Counter-UAV is rapidly becoming a strategic priority across Europe.

Last week, EGIDE co-founder Simon Calonne traveled to the Netherlands to participate in the French-Dutch Counter-UAV Cooperation Day, held at the residence of the French Ambassador.

The event brought together institutional representatives, defense agencies and industry leaders from both countries to discuss one of the fastest-evolving challenges in modern defense: protecting forces and critical infrastructure against increasingly sophisticated unmanned aerial threats.

Throughout the discussions, several priorities emerged. As drone technologies continue to evolve rapidly, European nations face common challenges in developing effective, scalable and adaptable counter-UAV capabilities. Addressing these challenges will require not only technological innovation, but also closer cooperation between governments, defense organizations and industry across Europe.
