EGIDE's co-founder, Simon Calonne spoke at the Paris Hardware Meetup, a gathering of engineers, founders and investors building the next generation of defense technologies in Europe.
Hosted at Hexa, the event brought together more than 120 builders from across the European defense tech ecosystem, reflecting the growing momentum around defense hardware innovation in Paris.
The panel featured several leading actors shaping the new generation of defense startups, including teams from Harmattan AI, Helsing and Landroval. Discussions focused on the rapid evolution of defense hardware, the importance of fast development cycles, and the role startups are now playing in building operational capabilities.
For EGIDE, these exchanges highlight a broader shift underway in the defense sector: innovation increasingly comes from small, highly focused engineering teams capable of designing and deploying new systems quickly.
At EGIDE, this same approach drives our work on autonomous interceptor systems designed to counter emerging UAS threats and help operators regain control of contested airspace.
We thank the organizers and the Hexa team for bringing together such a dynamic community of builders contributing to the future of European defense technology.
